“Anegada Kitchen” Debuts In British Virgin Islands
Artist Roger Bacharach presents " Anegada Kitchen" to the Anegada Reef Hotel owners, Lawrence Wheatley (center), and his mother Vivian Wheatley (right)
Commissioned by the Anegada Reef Hotel this oil painting celebrates the culture of Anegada Island in the spectacular British Virgin Islands. Here the artist, Roger Bacharach, has captured a familiar scene of locals roasting Caribbean lobster on the beach at sunset.
Sailors and charterers from surrounding islands sail to this site to enjoy the tasty seafood and other native delicacies roasted in split oil drums on beds of palm fronds and driftwood.
